These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Quarterspan provides access to its website and programmes. Please read them before using our site or enrolling in a workshop. If you have questions, contact us before proceeding.
Definitions
Throughout these Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the meanings given below:
"Quarterspan" / "We" / "Us" / "Our" — Quarterspan, a workshop and education provider operating from Level 14, Menara Hap Seng 2, Plaza Hap Seng, 50050 Kuala Lumpur.
"You" / "User" / "Participant" — any individual accessing our website or enrolling in one of our programmes.
"Service" — our website at quarterspan.site and all budgeting workshop programmes offered by Quarterspan.
"Programme" — any scheduled workshop or course offered by Quarterspan, including The Honest Month Workshop, Couples Cash-Flow Conversations, and the Household Operating Manual programme.
"Content" — all materials, workbooks, templates, handouts, and other resources provided to participants as part of a programme.
"Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or submitting an enquiry or enrolment, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years of age;
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
- Have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions in full.
If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our website or register for a programme.
Service Description
Quarterspan provides personal budgeting education through structured workshop programmes for adults. Our current programme offerings are:
The Honest Month Workshop
A weekend workshop covering household spending mapping, expense classification, and recurring versus discretionary spending. RM 490 per participant. Groups of up to 12.
Couples Cash-Flow Conversations
A four-evening programme for couples aged 40 and above, covering shared financial goals, conversation structures, and workbook practice. RM 1,650 per couple.
Household Operating Manual
A 10-week programme producing a written household operating manual. Includes orientation, cohort sessions, and a printed manual. RM 2,950 per participant.
Programme availability is subject to scheduling and capacity. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a session where minimum enrolment numbers are not met, in which case registered participants will receive a full refund or priority placement in the next available session.
User Responsibilities
When using our website or attending a programme, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information in all enquiries and enrolment submissions;
- Attend sessions with reasonable courtesy and respect for other participants and facilitators;
- Not reproduce, share, or redistribute programme materials without written permission from Quarterspan;
- Not use our website or programmes for any unlawful purpose;
- Not attempt to disrupt or interfere with the functionality of our website or digital systems.
Quarterspan reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme without refund if their conduct is disruptive or harmful to other participants or staff.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website and all programme materials — including workbooks, templates, slide decks, and printed manuals — are the intellectual property of Quarterspan or its licensors. This includes text, graphic layouts, curriculum structures, and the Quarterspan name and mark.
Upon enrolment in a programme, you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the materials provided for your own household purposes only. You may not:
- Copy or reproduce materials for distribution to others;
- Use materials for commercial purposes or to conduct your own workshops;
- Remove or alter any Quarterspan branding or attribution from materials.
Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by Quarterspan to improve its programmes without obligation or compensation to you.
Payment Terms
All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
Payment
Payment is required in full before or at the time of enrolment confirmation, unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing with Quarterspan.
Methods Accepted
Bank transfer, online payment, and other methods as communicated at the time of booking. Specific details are provided upon enrolment.
Cancellation and Refund Policy

Programme-Specific Terms
In addition to general terms, the following apply to programme participation:
- Attendance: Participants are encouraged to attend all scheduled sessions. Missed sessions in multi-session programmes may not always be rescheduled, subject to facilitator availability.
- Printed materials: Physical workbooks and manuals are provided as part of the programme fee and are non-refundable once distributed.
- Follow-up sessions: Where a follow-up review is included (e.g. The Honest Month Workshop), it must be scheduled within 60 days of the main session date.
- Group size: Quarterspan reserves the right to set minimum and maximum group sizes for each programme format.
- Confidentiality: Content shared by other participants during group sessions should be treated as confidential and not discussed outside the workshop context.
Disclaimers
Quarterspan provides educational workshops and practical budgeting tools. Our programmes are informational and organisational in nature. We are not a licensed financial advisory firm and do not provide regulated financial advice, investment recommendations, or financial planning services. Nothing in our programmes should be interpreted as personalised financial guidance.
Our website and programme materials are provided on an "as available" basis. While we take care to present accurate and current information, we make no representations as to the completeness or suitability of any content for your particular circumstances.
Individual outcomes from attending our workshops vary based on personal circumstances, effort, and factors outside our control. We do not make promises about specific household outcomes as a result of programme participation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Quarterspan's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of our website or participation in a programme shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific programme in question.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of income, or decisions made on the basis of workshop content.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quarterspan, its facilitators, and staff from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms and Conditions, your misuse of our materials, or your conduct during a programme session.
Termination
Quarterspan reserves the right to cancel a programme enrolment or deny access to future programmes if a participant:
- Breaches these terms;
- Behaves in a way that disrupts other participants or facilitators;
- Provides false information during enrolment.
You may withdraw from a programme at any time, subject to the cancellation and refund policy in Section 6. Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimer, and liability survive termination of this agreement.
Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting Quarterspan at [email protected].
If informal resolution is not achieved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to mediation under the Mediation Act 2012 (Malaysia). Where mediation is unsuccessful, the matter shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Consumer protection rights under Malaysian law, including those under the Consumer Protection Act 1999, are not affected by these terms.
General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Quarterspan regarding our services.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver
Failure by Quarterspan to enforce any provision of these Terms on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in future.
Assignment
You may not transfer your rights under this agreement to another person. Quarterspan may assign its rights and obligations in the event of a business transfer.

Any formal notices to Quarterspan should be sent in writing to our address or to [email protected].
Changes to These Terms
Quarterspan may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Where changes are material, we will communicate this through our website or directly to registered participants.
Continuing to use our website or attending a programme after a change to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
